MARDI GRAS HALF MARATHON 2010

Fantastic race - even though I was slower than last year. I really enjoyed the race this year. Wasn't as nervous as last year. I walked a lot, talked to so many people from out of town, and stopped for potty breaks. The best was going across the finish line with running friend, Tasha and having my husband at the finish line.

Woo Hoo 10K

Finished the 10K - my training run for next weekend's half marathon! Since my training hasn't gone as planned this year, I'm feeling much better about next weekend's half.

Something was lost in translation

 

Not sure what the groomer heard when my husband told them "puppy cut" and "yes, cut his ears". My dog now looks like a Chinese-crested dog. He was freezing so we had to put the jersey on him.

Let the Sewing BEGIN!

A coworker gave me her old Brother sewing machine. I was VERY worried when I saw it. But I managed to take the whole thing apart, clean it and oil it. Well, with the help of my husband.

Will I Ever Finish?

February lady sweater - Began this knitting project in June for my friend's birthday. It's taken a back seat to everything else going on (remodeling the house, the holidays). I've started over on the sweater twice. Friday, I ripped apart all of the gull lace pattern that I had finished. I'm much happier with the sweater now. My goal is to finish within the next 2 weeks! Now if only life doesn't get in the way.
