After watching Food Inc., I had this overwhelming urge to raise chickens in our backyard. We are in the process of re-landscaping the backyard. I'm hoping to clear out a enough room for a garden and an area for a chicken coop. Here are my ideas for the coop.
Green Roof Top Chicken Coop - I could plant flowers on the top!
Ohhh all those coops make my plain wooden one look very boring! We do have a tree-house one in the back garden that was meant to keep the foxes out, but a couple of the chickens were too stupid to climb the little ramp. I love the car coop, it's amazing :D

ReplyDeleteOhhh...what creative and clever chicken coops! I love the first one...who would have ever thought to use the back end of a vehicle? My favorite is the coop that you can grow flowers or plant a small garden on the top...now that's awesome!!! I wish you the best with your plans! Enjoy!!!

Thanks! My husband found the plans for the one with the garden/flowers on top. He's really into this chicken thing. Amy - do you enjoy having chickens? People are telling me it's not worth it - we'll never recover the money spent building the coop and that chickens are smelly & mean and will tear up our yard. Any advice?
